Kalahari Karoo Blues, 9 - 19 January In an exclusive concert for Cape Town, David Kramer brings together eccentric musicians from the far corners of Southern Africa - the Kalahari, the Hardeveld and the Klein Karoo. There are many lovely restaurants either within walking distance or a short drive from the Guest House. There is no shortage of entertainment and there is an excellent theatre in the area.
Within a ¾ hr drive is the historical town of Stellenbosch, home to the Rupert Museum, Ernie Els Wine Estate and Stellenbosch University. The town and its surrounding wine estates are well worth a visit.
Just past Stellenbosch - and only an hour away from Cape Town - lies the beautiful town of Franschhoek. Franschhoek is renowned for its restaurants and is surrounded by many of the best wineries in South Africa, such as Rupert & Rothchild, La Motte and Boschendal.
Learn to surf in Muizenberg Muizenberg is the ideal beginners wave - perfect for learning to surf. A number of surf schools can get you out into the water this summer in conditions that are safe, fun and easy!
The Guest House is within walking distance of the Newlands Cricket and Rugby Grounds, known throughout the sporting world for their beautiful locations. It is also within a short drive from Cape Town Stadium, where all World Cup soccer matches in Cape Town were played.
